- • She was educated in private schools in Bermuda, Brookline, Massachusetts, and Baltimore, Maryland. She studied piano at the Boston Conservatory of Music.
• She married Hugh Donovan COOPER on 18 Aug 1924 in Narragansett Pier, Rhode Island. She filed for divorce on 21 November 21 1927 in Rhode Island; divorce granted on 22 May 1928. She moved to Hollywood, California, where she became known as Miss Betty Mason.
• In 1930, Betty was living in a guest house in Culver City, Los Angeles, California. Her profession was listed as Actress, Motion Pictures. The IMBD lists Betty Mason with two film credits: Man and Woman (1920), and Hired Wife (1934) as chorus girl.
• Between 1935-1940, Betty Mason was in a serious motor accident, following which she was a patient in the Patton State Hospital for the Insane in San Bernadino, California (1940 census).
• She died 14 December 14 1961 in Napa, California, and is thought to be buried at the Napa State Hospital cemetery.
